About me
Hi, I’m Annemie — surface designer, digital print specialist, and Photoshop trainer with more than 15 years of hands-on experience in large-scale digital printing and decorative surface design.
From Fashion to Industrial Surface Design
Around 2006, my focus shifted from fashion & textile design toward large-format printing and interior surfaces. I had the opportunity to learn directly from leading printing companies across Europe, the US, and beyond — working on color matching for gravure and digital print, creating layouts and color separations, testing digital printing machines, and setting up color-management workflows.
As a surface designer, I collaborate with printers, engravers, and manufacturers working on floors, doors, wallpaper, fabrics, walls, kitchen worktops, furniture panels, wall art, and even car dashboards. My role often begins with editing complex material scans in Photoshop: correcting imperfections, refining details, adjusting color and contrast, and preparing the design for production.
Once the artwork is refined, I build seamless “allover” layouts so designs can be printed endlessly without visible seams. In preparation for color matching, I develop color separations, digital color studies, and multiple color variants — delivering final print-ready files that perform reliably in real production environments.
A Technical Mind With a Creative Eye
During the design process, I also create realistic visuals and mock-ups. By placing designs into interior scenes, brands can evaluate scale, color impact, and layout decisions long before production starts. These visuals become powerful tools for sales, marketing, and product development — allowing companies to present new collections without waiting for physical samples.
Today, I help clients worldwide create high-quality designs for printed interior applications such as wallpaper, panels, flooring, vinyl, laminates, fabrics, and more. My work includes:
Creating seamless layouts and large-scale print files
Developing colorways and digital color simulations
Preparing high-resolution print-ready artwork
Building realistic visuals and mock-ups
Supporting the start-up or optimization of digital print departments
